San Diego Parrot Head Club
Local Musicians

Jerry Gontang & Stars on the Water

stars on the water

Stars On The Water is a nationally recognized San Diego based band that specializes in Tropical Rock andRoll and cover tunes of Jimmy Buffett. They also have a library of old time rock and roll tunes and many original songs as well. This quartet of high energy entertainers and vocal gymnasts always finds a way to get the crowd dancing and singing along.

Their calendar has them traveling the United States from coast to coast and border to border playing corporate and private parties, special events, festivals and helping parrot head clubs raise money for favorite local and national charities. Parrot head clubs are Jimmy Buffett fan clubs that take the philanTropic idea one step further by partying for a purpose.

Check them out on YouTube performing Volcano at our party. And here they are singing Southern Cross

Gary Seiler & Coast Riders

gary seiler

CoastRiders show is what I call Southern California Beach Country Music. It's a Jimmy Buffett show which steps out of the box and features great country music, some southern rock added in, surf instrumentals, popular original songs and a lot more. Wear your flip flops, your cowboy boots, or those dancing shoes because either way you're gonna love it!

Rob Mehl

rob mehl

I'm a singer/songwriter of beach-flavored acoustic folk songs ~ chill music with a hint of island-jazz ... neat, with a twist! I have a mellow sort of voice and play a Limited Edition Cousteau model Takamine steel-string guitar, a "Blue Dolphin" Takamine nylon-string guitar (custom-painted by Danny Hatch, by the way!) and a tenor Eleuke (an electric ukulele!) ... though not usually at the same time!

Bob Karwin

bob karwin

Bob Karwin began his music career in Boston, Massachusetts on June 4, 1990, playing to drunken mobs in the Irish pubs and college bars. He quickly made a name for himself in Beantown by being able to tame an unruly crowd fired by Guinness and Jack Daniels using only his guitar and a microphone. In 1993, Bob packed up his Jeep and moved to sunny San Diego. His blend of humor and thoughtful songwriting struck a chord with Southern Californians and he began to develop a following at his rowdy one man shows.  Bob is now a full fledged Californian, strolling the beaches and vowing to never shovel a driveway ever again.

George James has been a full-time entertainer since his teenage days.

Originally from Northern Illinois, he was the lead singer / guitarist for a

variety dance / show band that performed all over the Midwest.

He has recorded in Nashville and had 2 original songs break the Billboard Hot 100

singles chart in the late 70's.

Moving to Escondido, CA in 1999, he continues to perform solo as well as DJ & Emcee

weddings and private events.  He is also a Comedy Stage Hypnotist that has performed shows

all over the country for fairs, conventions, & fundraisers.

Sharing his love of the beach, tropics, sand & the sea with his wife Deb, he performs

music of Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, and a whole lot more!
