SDPHC Charity Happy Hour & Buffet Dinner

Time: 4pm - 10pm

Location: Fast Times (formerly Coastal Crave) 3065 Clairemont Dr., San Diego, CA 92117 -- top of Clairemont drive with a bay and sunset view

Cost: $15 for dinner, with proceeds going to the Autism Society

Appetizer: Compliments of Margaritaville Foods:  Island Lime Shrimp served on fresh greens.

 

Fast Times will supply a buffet dinner with a choice of one of the following menu items: 

1. Kahlua Pork

2. Teriyaki Chicken

3. Vegetable Stir-Fry

 

All will be served with Island Macaroni Salad and Sticky Rice.

 

Entertainment by Classic Buzz from: 6:30-9:30 PM.

 

Silent Auction and Raffle with all proceeds going to: Autism Society San Diego County.

 

Happy Hour Prices 3-6 PM: $1 off all beer, wine, wells and appetizers.

Special drink prices will run from 4 PM throughout the event for SDPHC Members!

            -Hornitos Tequila Shots = $4.50

            -Margaritas = $5.00

SDPHC @ Food Bank

 

What: Box Food at San Diego Food Bank

When: November 29, 2017

Time: 6pm - 8pm  (arrive at 5:45 to check in)

Where: 9850 Distribution Avenue • San Diego, CA 92121

Need to Know: Wear close-toed shoes, you may want a light jacket

Who can attend: All;  great way to get community service credit too; volunteers must be at least 11 years old

Also: We will go for dinner in the area afterwards. Details to come.
 
We are participating at the San Diego Food Bank again, boxing food.  Please help us box food for people in need in San Diego.  
 
The Food Bank has a registration process that each person must complete.  I can't do it for you.  Also email me that you've signed up.
 
Please wear closed-toed shoes.  You may want to bring water and a light jacket.  We're indoors, but it's not climate controlled. You will be asked to sign a waiver at the event.
 
This event is open to all members, their family, friends, and co-workers.  This event is suitable for children 11 & older.  We will have forms for community service hours.  This event counts towards the SDPHC member appreciation event.
 
After the event, we will go to a local restaurant for dinner.  Details to come.
 
INSTRUCTIONS TO SIGN UP
 
This is a 2-step process for volunteers new to the Food Bank or new to your group.
 
Each person in the group must sign up for the shift - which includes kids, friend, significant other, family member, etc.  Any unused volunteer slots will be released for other community volunteers to sign up 1 Week in advance of the shift.  To sign up for the shift all volunteers must sign in to their account, scroll to the event date and the green "sign up" circle next to the date.
 
NEW VOLUNTEERS
Instructions for volunteers new to Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank: (Visual Instructions attached)

2.       Click "Create an account"
3.       Create a user name and password, click next
4.       Enter join code "sdphc01" (join code is case sensitive), click next
5.       Fill out account information and click "finish"

SDPHC Holiday Party

 

What:  SDPHC Holiday Party
When:  Sunday, December 10, 2017
Time:   11am - 5pm
Where: Tio Leo's Mexican Restaurant:  5302 Napa St, San Diego, CA 92110
Cost:    $10/member, $15/guest, or PayPal price, plus a $10 min toy donation to our charity
This is a SDPHC Members Party, however, you may bring a guest. Guests and Members of other PHIP sanctioned Parrot Head Clubs are welcome to attend but will pay $15 pp plus an Unwrapped Toy or $10 Gift Cards are welcome as well.  Since this is a catered party with a live band there will be a small donation requested to cover music and catering costs.  Current SDPHC Members will pay $10 pp plus an Unwrapped Toy or $10.  PayPal link available at www.sdphc.org(+.50 per ticket). Each ticket option requires a separate transaction. Donations will go to a local toy drive as will a portion of any proceeds from this event.  No refunds.
 
Each person can select one of the following plates during the event: Beef Taco, Cheese Enchilada, Chicken Taco, Combo Burrito, Chile Relleno, all served with Rice & Beans. Chips & Salsa also included.
 
No Host Bar.  Drink Specials:  Bloody Mary=$7, Flamingo Punch=$6, House Margarita=$6.
 
Dancing to Jerry Gontang and Stars On The Water:  1:30-4:30.  Football will be on the TVs in the bar all day, even during the music!  Dance and root on your team!
 
Representatives from Team Parker for Life and Wounded Warrior Homes will be present to accept their donation check of $22,500 each as the beneficiaries of the 2017 Anniversary Party.
